As we arrive home, the house is pitch black. I wonder where everyone is. I knew all the adults are out tonight but where the fuck is Talon, Lacey and Zach. None of them were at the game.

Tanner and I walk in through the massive double doors and he flicks the lights on through the foyer.

"Do you really think that they're hiding from us?"

He shrugs. "It's a possibility since we’re not their favorite people. Let's get ready for the party, I'm sure they will show up. They have to come back here eventually, right?"

Right. Tanner lets the DJ in and he sets up in the second living room. We tape off the no-go areas. I don't like the idea of anyone going through my mother’s shit.

The cheerleaders are the last to arrive at the party. How they wear next to nothing when it's this cold is beyond me. Don't expect me to turn up the heat just because you think pushing your tits up and flashing us what you had for breakfast will get us to fuck you. I find a seat that gives me a prime view of the entry, Lacey will have to walk past to get inside.

I watch and miss half of what everyone is talking about.

Time passes and everyone around me gets wasted, someone dragged in a collapsible table and an intense game of beer pong is being played between Tanner and Clapper.

Fuck this, I push Caitlyn from my lap and stand. I need to take a piss and I'm not feeling the party tonight. I walk out and down the hall, back toward the foyer. Drake stands at the top of the stairs. I take them two at a time. Up here is out of bounds and he knows it.
